On the road to trout fishing
Whether you’re a beginner or an amateur, you’ll have no trouble enjoying this activity. The Ariège river is home to an abundant fish population.
You won’t have to drive far to get to the fishing spot. In the commune of Savignac les Ormeaux, you’ll find a pond where you can relax. All you have to do to get there is take a small road near the campsite. Of course, you can get there on foot.

To make this morning a success, you need to be well prepared.
Bring good shoes.
Don’t forget to bring a cap, as sunstroke can happen very quickly.
Bring a picnic. Tables and benches are available on site.
Before you leave, remember to book your fishing permit online. You have two options:
– Weekly fishing pass
– Fishing day pass
After this step, you’ll be ready to cast your rod into the rushing waters of the Ariège.
A maximum of 5 trout per person is allowed.
