We dreamed of family winter sports holidays in Ariège and we're going to be able to make our dream come true. After doing some research on the net, we came across the camping la Marmotte. At first we weren't thinking of a winter camping holiday, but we finally realised that it was possible. The whole family scoured the pages looking for information. Then we decided on the destination.
These family winter sports holidays in Ariège will satisfy our desire to get away from it all, without putting a strain on our budget. So it's a win-win situation. La Marmotte campsite is located close to the Ax 3 Domaines ski resort. This resort is also known as "Ax-Bonascre". It has a wealth of ski runs to suit all levels of the family. There are 36 pistes spread over the three areas, making a total of 80 kilometres of runs. In the same spirit, you can ski on a cross-country track. There's also a snowshoeing trail.
Before you hit the slopes of theAriègeIn the afternoon, we'll drop our youngest off at the ski school. After a few lessons, we can all go skiing together. After all, that's what a family holiday in winter sports is all about. Once these intense days are over, we'll be happy to head back to the campsite. Our accommodation will be our little cocoon where we can take a breather... before setting off again the next day!
